Obama Under Pressure to Intervene in Libya
(Reuters) – Pressure mounted on the White House on Tuesday to intervene to stop Muammar Gaddafi’s bloody crackdown on democracy protests as a lawmaker close to President Barack Obama urged oil firms to halt work in Libya.
The administration faced calls for military actions ranging from bombing Libyan airfields and imposing no-fly-zones, and criticism of Obama’s silence on the violence in which hundreds have died. Read more at Reuters.com.

President Obama needs to speak out against what is happening in Libya. He can’t just issue a statement. He needs to go in front of cameras and condemn the Gaddafi regime.
As for Rahm Emanuel’s victory in Chicago, this just goes to show you that Chicago politics is a corrupt game. He hasn’t lived in Chicago for two years but somehow, even though this disqualifies him for the office, he managed to get elected. I should point out that voter turnout was very low.
