Keith Olbermann has found a new gig. He will host and produce a nightly news and commentary program on Current TV, in addition to serving as the channel’s CNO (Chief News Officer). Personally I though CON was a more appropriate title, since Olby is a con man as far as I’m concerned. He left cable TV, and now he’s coming back. That, my friends, is a confidence trick.
Apparently since Current TV isn’t technically a cable news outlet (in my view it isn’t even a channel since more people watch local cable access programming), Olby doesn’t have to worry about the non-compete clause in his MSNBC contract (the clause keeps talent from jumping to competitors for a certain amount of time).
UPDATE: The show won’t be starting until the Spring, which means the non-compete clause won’t matter anymore because it will have expired.
