Tuesday’s Republican primaries in Delaware and New Hampshire were both victories for the former Alaska Governor. Palin’s candidate in Delaware, Christine O’Donnell, handily won her parties nomination, although not without some controversy:
Earlier Wednesday, Kelly Ayote was declared the victor in New Hampshire’s GOP primary. From The Associated Press:
New Hampshire has certified former state Attorney General Kelly Ayotte as the winner of the Republican primary for U.S. Senate.
Ayotte was endorsed by former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and won a narrow victory over Ovide Lamontagne. His conservative credentials and courting of the tea party pulled him close in the final days of the campaign.
Both of these victories are signs that Sarah Palin’s influence is continuing to grow, and a long list of GOP candidates owe Ms. Palin future favors.
